Smith Brothers Custom Insole Race Team
The team:
The Smith Brothers Racing Team started in 2017 with the renaming of the insole business and the start of a karting career for Spencer Smith, son of RL Smith and Tricia Vieth. Spencer took quickly to the go karting scene in the Cadet division racing in the Colorado Karting Tour. Races took him all over Colorado where he successfully had podium finishes in a majority of his races. He ended his season in third place and then proceeded to compete in a national race in Phoenix, Arizona where he finished sixth. Another big accomplishment was finishing first in the Colorado Classic race, which was an hour-long endurance race.
Spencer’s dream is to race in Formula 1 for the Ferrari team. To keep this dream alive, he has decided to race in two different divisions this next season: Junior 1 in the Colorado Karting Tour and the Mini Rok division in the Rok Series. If he races successfully in the new Rok Series, he could have a chance to race at the Rok Cup International Final at South Garda Karting in Lonato, Italy. Big dreams and a very busy season ahead for this little racer.
